Hello again!

Hello everyone, I'm back. I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I've been very busy. First, I had trouble with my PC. The Powers Supply Unit completely fried, so it took a while to get it replaced. Then, I got a job as a web developer/designer, and since then, I've been really really busy. So, I hope I can make the time and get back to blogging again.

Until next post,
Farewell!

The Supermarket Adventure

So, here I am at home, bored to death. The only thing that comes to my mind is: Go to the market and get something. So I begin my journey! I get out of my house, walk about 200m and I see this.
Now normally, you would cross the street, and avoid these dogs, but I am used to situations like this, because dogs like them are everywhere on the city, and they are known to be aggressive sometimes. Nonetheless, I continued my way right in front of their faces, like I was saying to them:"Yeah fuck you, you are just some meatbag with a bit of brain which can't render some colors properly". So anyway, I got past them, and here I was, the not so big Supermarket:
This is pretty small, but has a lot of stuff on it, and is known for it's low prices, and is really close to my house. So this was it, Mission Accomplished!

LAN gaming night!

So, I finally got a friends camera and go out and took some pics, but they didn't turn out that good. So I am just going to post this. Last night, we went to a internet caffe, which is a place where you can pay to get on the internet, usually 0.5E. This is what it looks like:
This is a nice place, it is frequented a lot by everyone, from ordinary people, to gamers. The computers aren't that great, but they're fine for playing some LAN games. So this was it, hope you enjoyed!

Apologizing

Hey guys, sorry for 2 days without posting but the thing is, that while I left the batteries recharging on an outlet, my brother took them and threw them around the house, and I am still searching for one more battery. As soon as I get a battery, I will flood this blog with posts, because I have so much to tell you. As you can see, I've changed the blog topic to "Life in Kosova" instead of "All About Technology". Glad to see you like it!

How to Make "PITE" pt.2

So, I woke up this morning and my mom in co-operation with my grandma(because she knows better) were already making it. So here is the process:
-    They took the ground pumpkin and added about 1L of milk and a pinch of salt and then boiled it for 10 minutes while steering.
-   While the pumpkin was boiling and then cooling of, she took 1.5kg of all purpose flour(tip 400), 1,2L of water, a pinch of salt, and just a bit of oil and mixed it like this:
And in the end, she dumped it on the table and this was the result:
-   Next, she took a whole butter and put it in a pan and then melted it like this:
Until it was a nice greasy fluid.

-    After that, she took the big dough ball and cut it in smaller pieces. She cut it into 30 smaller pieces. 15 at a time.

-   She then took those small dough balls one by one, and made them perfectly round, here is a video for that, because it's a bit complicated to explain it with pictures.
-   Then, after rounding them, she took them and stretched them with a wooden stick, I'm sure there is a name for that:

-  After that, she put them all together(15 of them), one on top of each other, but she put the greasy liquid that was made before between each one.

-  After getting them together, she continued to stretch it even further with her fists, like a 69 year old badass she is.

-   Then she prepared the baking pan, which is a large round one, by adding that greasy liquid prepared earlier.

-   She then took the stretched dough and put it in the pan, and stretched it to the edges.

-   We got some pre-made dough which is the same by making it by yourself, but it would take a lot of time. For example, if we didn't want to get pre-made dough, we would need to make the big dough at the beginning at least 2x larger. And the pre-made dough, comes in many thin layers. So, after she put the homemade dough on the pan, we put a layer of purchased dough, then some pumpkin and that grease. This repeats until the purchased dough is finished, like this:
These are the pre-made doughs:
-   After the pumpkin is over, and all the pre-made doughs are put, she put the other homemade dough(15 smaller doughs together) on top of everything.
-   This is all ready now, just to be baked. To bake it, we sent it to a bakery nearby, because we don't have an oven big enough to fit it. It's not unusual here, people do it everyday.
- Oh and one thing I forgot to tell you, this wasn't made by my grandma, this was made by my little brother:
Just kidding

-   After it's done baking, will post pictures again. And I'm considering changing my blogs topic from technology, to Kosovo, because I would like you to show unusual stuff we do here, but that are considered usual by the people here.
Until then, have a nice day!

Making "PITE"

Hey guys, I know this isn't tech related, but I would like to share this one with you. What you are about to see below, is the primitive way of making PITE with pumpkin. I really couldn't find a proper translation for this one, but after you see the pics, maybe you know it's name. Tonight I am only going to post the preparation of the pumpkin, because it's almost 11pm here, and the whole thing will be finished tomorrow in the morning. So lets start.
-   First, we got the pumpkin (the idea came to me after we finished it, sorry. Here is a pumpkin that is similar, only a bit smaller to the one used)

-   Then, using this grinder below, I personally proceeded to grind it until it got really soft and juicy.
(The consequences were some
scratches on my fingers, not a big deal)
-   After it was all grinded, my mother took the pumpkin and put it in a piece of cotton fabric i think, to drain the water from the pumpkin.
-   The pumpkin will stay like that overnight until tomorrow morning. Tomorrow my mother of course, not me, will proceed to put it into some kind of bread, or I don't know how to call it, you'll see for yourself. So tomorrow I will take a bunch of pics documenting the whole process. Because I think these things are a bit primitive, and the place where I live is primitive. Btw, I live in Kosovo(click for wikipedia).

Diving into PHP

Hello everyone, I have an announcement to make. So, in the following days, I might not be able to post as much as I usually do, that is because I am starting to learn PHP. I am really fascinated by web programming, and I already know HTML and CSS, and PHP is a must. It's summer, I'm out of school and have plenty of free time, so why not put this free time into some good use?! So, this is all I wanted to say. Have a nice day!

How 3D works.

3D is a really awesome invention which lets you fully experience movies. But after that expensive technology, have you ever wondered how it really works ? The image above is really simple and explains it very well. There are plenty of other answers on how 3D works, but I find this the simplest of them.

How the internet works.

Hey there! I know I've been posting too many of these infographics, but lets just say that I've run into a gold mine of them. So, the next one is about the internet. Have you ever wondered how it works? Well this nice infographic(obviously not made by me) explains it really well by adding charts and images(this is why I love them).
Edit: Sorry for the small size. Should be fixed now. I don't know why blogger resized it !

Sitting

Sitting is something we all do everyday. Some are even imposed to sit at their works. But have you ever wondered how bad is it for you to sit? Well according to this cool infographic, it is really dangerous, because humans weren't designed to sit, but rather to stand on foot.

Nyan Cat

Have you ever got bored watching the progress bar while you copy files from location to location? Than you should download THIS. This is a program developed by Ben Stone, which turns the progress bar into the nyan cat, just like this picture:
This program was developed for Windows 7, so it probably won't work on Windows XP. I'm sure some of you will upgrade to Win7 just for this, and just copy files into random places on your computer just so you enjoy this fine piece of art!

Elenin Comet

I know I already made two posts today, but as soon as I saw this, I had to make a post for it ASAP. So, this is the Elenin Comet which will cross Earth's orbit this year on september. This comet is a small ball of ice and dust particles, about one hundred billionth the mass of our moon. There are many theories that this comet will fulfil the 2012 prophecy and many other conspiracy theories. There is even a whole site dedicated to this comet here.

The new interface.

On the previous post that I made about the new Blogger interface, I forgot that it isn't disabled on default (silly me). So to experience the new interface, just follow these steps, which are no more than three:

  1. Log in to you blogger account.
  2. On the dashboard, navigate all the way down, and on the Tools and Resources row, select: "Blogger in Draft"
  3. It's done now, but if you Log out and Log back in, you will notice that it will revert to the old interface. To fix that, all you have to do is go to the top right corner and tick the box that says: "Make Blogger in Draft my default".

And viola, you're all set. Now if you don't like it, you can always revert to the old one, just by unticking the "Make Blogger in Draft my default". Thank you all for your feedback.

    Google+ invites.

Whoever wants an invite, leave the e-mail on the comments area or send me an e-mail at : jdujaka@gmail.com and I will give you free invites, just because I am nice. :)

How to get the new Gmail theme.

Google has been redesigning almost all of it's pages. And I really don't mind the change, the interface is a bit sleeker than before. Like many other pages, the Gmail has also changed the look, but it isn't activated by default.

How to speed up your firefox

So, first of all, welcome to my blog. This is my first post so don't be harsh on me, I'll do the best that I can.

Firefox is the most popular web browser, and the one that I use. The following is a trick to let you speed up your firefox. It may not be a big boost like from 50 kb/s to 300 kb/s, but it should be a bit faster.
